September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month!

As we enter the month of September, lets please recognize every way that we can uplift patients and families affected by sickle cell disease, a painful hereditary illness that affects red blood cells that move throughout the body. Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas is dedicated to its mission to provide a network of support for patients and families affected by Sickle Cell Anemia; to raise awareness and educate the community; and to advocate for a cure. Join us at our conference on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 8am to 1pm at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where the conference, “Sickle Cell Disease… Let’s Talk About It” will be headlined by Dr. Ify Osunkwo, a dynamic speaker and strong advocate for the sickle cell community. In addition to her keynote address, there will be seminars throughout the morning to address a myriad of topics for patients, families and the community at large. Join SCPOC for this conference and “Let’s Talk About It!” Register:  http://scpocconference2016.eventbrite.com
