The 12th Annual University City Turkey Trot
WAKE, RUN, FEAST!
Join us on Thanksgiving Day at 8AM for the 12th annual University City Turkey Trot!! A huge thanks to all the participants who have supported this awesome community race through the years! Join fellow runners, walkers, and our fans on Thanksgiving Day for a 5k walk/run designed for all of University City to enjoy! After the race, cool down and indulge in a post-race mini feast featuring food, drinks, games and music.
The University City Turkey Trot features a 5k run/walk; a fun run for kids of all ages; and a costume contest for all those young at heart. Prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place finishers overall; first and second place male and female in each age category; and three prizes are awarded for the costume contest. In addition to all that fun, participants are encouraged to take part in our annual food drive by bringing non-perishable items to support those who are less fortunate in our community. All the proceeds from this race support patients affected by sickle cell disease and activities throughout the year for Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas.
